26-36 inch tall Quaking Aspen (Populus tremuloides): Field grown, ships dormant without leaves and bare root.

A fast growing deciduous shade and ornamental tree, quaking aspens can grow 4-10 feet a year. Reaches up to 40 feet tall and 15 to 20 foot wide at maturity. Grows in USDA zones 2-8. Prefers full sun or partial sun and has a wide range of preferred soil conditions ranging from acidic, loamy, moist, sandy, well-drained and clay soils. Our seed comes from Northern Idaho and our trees can withstand summer rains without rust problems.

Shipped Dormant and Bare root. Trees can be planted any time your ground is not frozen. Best if planted in the ground. Will be stunted if planted in a pot (unless it is a large 5-10 gallon container, which would be OK for 1-2 years until the tree outgrows the pot). These are not house plants.

Trees are shipped Monday and Tuesday by UPS 3 day Select. We can not ship these trees to PO Boxes, AK or HI and USA territories without a $15 freight surcharge .

There was a surprise temperature drop to 20 degrees the night after these little aspens arrived with their first leaves appearing. Those leaves froze, but the little trees are determined and new leaves are coming out now. I have high hopes for these guys.
